DON’T’s...

• Don’t use more than one condom at a time.
• Don’t allow oil-based liquid to come into contact with the condom. (Check out "What Is Lube?" for more information.)
• Don’t open the package with your teeth!
• Don’t store them near a heat source.
• Don’t forget to change the condom between sexual practices, i.e. change the condom after oral sex before penetrative sex.
• Don’t use if there is no safety mark on the package.
• Don’t use if out of date.
• Don’t be forced into having sex especially without a condom.
• Don’t buy them; get them free through the C-Card Scheme!!

DO's...

• Use a condom with another form of contraception. ("Double Dutch Method!")
• Use water-based lubes every time you use a condom.
• Seek advice as soon as possible if a condom breaks.
• Use a condom every time you have sex.
• Use condoms for oral sex -, you can get flavoured ones. (Infections can be caught through oral sex.)
• Use condoms if you are pregnant. They protect against infection and should not be seen only as a contraceptive.)
• Use a condom from the start of sex before any penetration takes place.
• Get free condoms through the C-Card Scheme!

Condoms are the only contraception that prevents sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy if used every time and correctly.

Remember, YOUR sexual health is YOUR responsibility, if your partner won’t use a condom...don’t have sex, look after both of you!!
